Our Commitments
The items below are provided for reference as we prepare for our upcoming messenger meeting, including voting on the proposed bylaw revisions.
These revisions were presented by the Documents Committee at the Spring 2026 Messenger Meeting, which took place on April 16, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church in Johnson City.
At that time, the Documents Committee explained their rationale for all proposed amendments and asked that messengers contact them and/or the HBA Office to discuss any concerns they may have. To date, no concerns have been brought to the Documents Committee; therefore, no further revisions have been made.
At the Fall 2026 Messenger Meeting, messengers will vote to adopt these revised bylaws, including the doctrinal statements within. The Documents Committee's explanation, the full revised bylaws, and each of the doctrinal statements are included below for your review.
